The leather diamonds in these earrings are the corner cutouts from my leather valets [not currently available on the website]. Each valet is a shallow rectangular tray with gently sloping sides. In order to be able to bring the sides together for stitching I cut out the corners. Each tray makes four of these such diamond-shaped pieces. They were such a pleasing shape I knew I needed to hang onto them!
The cascading silver leaves used to be Grow swags. They weren't the right fit for a different pair of earrings, so I cut up all the leaves and strung them up on a silver chain. Now they have ALL the movement and swing!
