This prong set necklace has a rainbow patina prong setting and features a crisply faceted Obsidian. Great for every day! Kristin Buhler Design is pleased to offer you treasures to be worn and enjoyed forever.
A simple setting made of fused Argentium* silver. Smooth prongs hold the freeform faceted Obsidian snug in its setting. Clusters of Argentium drops adorn the setting. The entire setting has been oxidized with a rainbow patina. None of the patina has been removed, and the high spots will polish naturally over time with regular use. The hardware at the end of the deerskin lace, sterling silver, has not been oxidized at all, and will also change with regular use, darkening in the low spots while remaining bright and shiny at the high spots. This is a natural reaction of sterling silver to exposure to the air. My makers mark is stamped on a sterling silver ingot at the end of the 1.5" extender chain, handmade by me.
I would advise against wearing this necklace anywhere you might get it wet.
This is the exact necklace you will receive.
*A note about Argentium silver: Argentium silver 935 is a modern sterling silver alloy, containing 93.5% silver. The traditional sterling alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) is modified by removing some of the copper and adding the metalloid germanium.
