How do you know if THIS is the right size guide for your needs? We should clear up some terms. If you're making a rigid, closed piece of jewellery for the wrist or arm, then this is the correct guide for your project. If you're making a bracelet (a linked piece with a clasp) or a cuff (an open, rigid shape) then you require a different size guide.
