This freeform Azurite ring is finished in your size and features Efflorescence petals surrounding the stone. Great for summer! Kristin Buhler Design is pleased to offer you treasures to be worn and enjoyed forever.
This series—Efflorescence—came into existence at a time in my life when I was experiencing change—change beyond my control. Life was taking a turn I hadn't planned for. I thought I knew what my path looked like, but God said "Nope". I had two choices—I could resist, or I could grow. It took me a while, but I've chosen to trust and grow.
Efflorescence, a definition and explanation:
A state or time of flowering.
a. A gradual process of unfolding or developing.
b. The point or time of greatest vigor; the culmination.
A little bit about the stone, and setting:
The stone is a beautiful high quality freeform Azurite—it's a smooth cab, with a high polish. The stone measures approximately 19mm x 33mm, and the setting measures approximately 34mm x 43mm. The stone is held secure with a fine silver bezel. Surrounding the stone, hand formed silver petals ebb and flow in an organic manner. Fine silver drops sit at the top and bottom of the ring. The thick backplate, on which the sterling silver petals and fine silver drops sit, gives this ring a luxurious feel. The thick ring band measures approximately 14mm at the widest point and 10mm at the narrowest point. My makers mark is stamped on the back of the ring. The entire ring has been oxidized and then hand polished to bring out the details.
The Freeform Azurite ring pictured is not yet finished—the stone is not set. It will be finished in your size. To purchase this ring, select your size from the drop-down menu. The last photo, a photo of my prototype, shows what the ring shank will look like when finished. I've done my best to capture the accurate colour of the stone by taking photographs using natural light, but please be advised that colours may vary from screen to screen.
Tip: When choosing a size for a wide ring band [shank] keep in mind wider bands fit smaller than thin bands, typically 1/4-1/2 size smaller. Be sure of your ring size at the time of purchase—this listing is a custom listing and as such no returns or refunds will be given for an incorrectly ordered ring band.
